Situated in Zone 5, Sutton is less than 30 minutes by train from central London, and south and south west London are easily accessible by public transport. There are 10 train stations which serve key neighbourhoods within the borough providing direct connections to London Victoria, London Bridge, London Blackfriars and St Pancras International. Sutton also has direct rail connections with Epsom, Dorking, Guildford and Horsham, as well as Wimbledon for an interchange with the London Underground and West Croydon for the London Overground. There’s also an extensive road network which provides close and easy access to the M25 and M23.

About the Role

Sutton Family Information Service Information and Administration Officers are the gateway for families and professionals who contact the service via phone, email or online to find information and advice about local services. It is about caring for each individual and family, being responsive, proactive and aware of what services are available across the borough.

In this role, you are crucial to the running of the Family Information Service. You will be keeping information updated from childcare providers to debt advice and community support groups. Sutton Family Information Service is a busy service and is often the first point of contact for a family looking for support or information. You do not need to have all the answers, but you need to know where to find them.

Sutton Family Information Service is part of the Early Intervention Service in the borough. It is an exciting time to join our team as we move towards Family hubs and joining services up to best support families at the earliest possible stage. We work closely with Health services, voluntary sector, childcare providers. Our work is part of the boroughs Helping Early Strategy to provide the right support at the right time, to help children achieve the following outcomes

About You

We are looking for two motivated and highly organised people to be part of our team whose role will be central to the day to day running of the Sutton Family Information Service, which is delivered with the customer in mind with empathy and consideration for the diverse needs of service users. You will be an excellent communicator with significant customer service skills in order to provide a warm, welcoming and efficient virtual front of house.

Excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task are key components of this role. You will be required to use multiple databases and IT systems to record daily enquiries and assist with monitoring and performance and therefore experience of different systems would be beneficial.
