Business Development Manager

Analytics Engines is a pioneering Data Analytics technology company entering a new and tremendously exciting phase

of its development and growth. One of Northern Ireland’s most highly respected software companies, this ambitious

firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth and broaden its international footprint.

Trusted by organisations with global reputations, Analytics Engines has deployed bespoke data solutions across the UK

and Ireland and is expanding further into new international markets.

About the role
The role is Belfast based and primarily focused on new customer acquisition and building our broader network and

market presence in NI and wider markets.

As a senior sales focused individual you will work as an integral member of our go-to-market team driving and delivering

commercial goals for our bespoke Data Analytics Solutions, Consulting Services and MINERVA licenced IP. The MINERVA

Framework is a collection of market tested IP, designed to be quickly deployed to resolve data science, data integration

and advanced visualisation and modelling requirements.

The role will involve working with the broader sales, marketing, and product organisation to execute our business and

sales plans, delivering growth in customer sales and pipeline. This is an instrumental role in our growth and is focused on

generating and closing sales pipeline to meet and exceed our ambitious goals.

Key responsibilities
Analytics Engines offers the perfect environment for highly motivated, creative, commercial experts to thrive and

contribute to the delivery of truly unique and innovative data solutions. Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Working collaboratively with the wider sales team on definition and validation of our product offerings,

development of our go-to-market strategies as well as customer growth and retention strategies;

  • Executing personal business development plans in line with agreed targets for data analytics solutions, consulting

services and licenced IP;

  • Identifying new areas of growth for Analytics Engines and a strategy to address these opportunities;
  • Identifying and developing partnering opportunities to enhance market reach;
  • Taking a global perspective on market opportunities and assessing and delivering opportunities in new geographies

within the UK, Europe and US;

  • Generating awareness of the company’s vision with a range of interested parties including shareholders, investors,

partners, media, and customers.

Required experience
10+ years’ experience in IT Consulting or Sales, ideally with a Big 4 Consultancy or leading software services provider;

  • Sectorial knowledge of the Data Analytics and AI & ML domains.
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying, progressing, and winning new customers.
  • Experience of managing and responding to complex RFP and B2B sales.

  • Proven revenue generation track record gained in software solutions, accessing customers in both private and

public companies across multiple verticals.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and executing successful innovative sales strategies.
  • Experienced and passionate about driving revenue through commercialisation efforts.

  • Ideally, the candidate should have an understanding of data linkage and data matching, natural language

processing and text analytics.

  • Excellent organisational, IT and administrative skills.
  • The capacity and willingness to undertake extensive business travel in the UK and internationally, potentially at

weekends and outside of normal business hours.

Desirable Experience
Experience of selling to Financial Services, Fintech and Capital Market customers

  • A relevant third level qualification.
