HR Coordinator – The Role:
You will be part of the Administration team along side two other Senior Administrators (who have their own specialisms) and supported by two administrators. You will provide Human Resources based administrative support to the school, be the first point of contact to resolve queries from staff and management relating to pay, terms and conditions, employment relations issues, escalating queries where appropriate and liaise with our colleagues in Wandsworth Borough Council.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide procedural advice to managers in the implementation of Wandsworth Borough Council’s personnel policies and escalate matters to the HR Manager accordingly.- Supporting Senior Leadership and Governors with, co-ordinating and supporting documentation for sickness, grievance, capability and probationary investigations.
- Support line managers at informal stages of the processes when requested with guidance and minute taking.
- Under the direction of the HR Manager or Wandsworth Appointed HR Officer, produce reports for sickness, disciplinary, capability and probation hearings.
- Co-ordinating disciplinary hearings by the Headteacher and Governors under direction of the HR Manager, including note taking.
- Update local HR systems and routines in order to keep in line with current policies and maintain best practice.
- Oversee the Safeguarding and DBS procedures, to ensure safety and security of Young People is maintained.
- Assisting other Senior Administrators with tasks.
HR Coordinator – What we need from you:
Essential
Experience of directing staff and managers to appropriate policies in matters related to HR and personnel.- Able to demonstrate experience of data input, and skills in the use of a range of IT software, including Microsoft Office.
- Evidence of ability to work within a team environment as well as in a stand-alone capacity when required.
- Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities.
- Evidence of the skills required to plan, prioritise and execute tasks and activities within given deadlines.
- Educated to A-Level standard, or equivalent, with GCSEs in Maths and English at a minimum of grade C or equivalent.
- Commitment to excellent customer care, continuous improvement and setting high professional standards
- To promote and sustain a culture of gentleness within the department and support this across the school community.
Desirable
Level 5 CIPD qualification, or be working towards such a qualification.- Working knowledge of employment law
- Previous experience of working within a highly regulated environment
