Salary: £75,000 - £108,000

Role Clearance Type: You must be able to gain and maintain the highest level of UK Government clearance

The Cloud Center of Excellence Team supports our engineers and customer projects in their delivery of solutions that are critical to National Security. Providing cutting edge development platforms, technical mentoring, ad-hoc consultancy and design reviews.

We deliver mission value by staying ahead of the curve, improving developer enabling solutions, tackling organisational blockers and enabling organisational agility. The Cloud Center of Excellence is at the forefront of taking National Security into the Cloud.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Working with stakeholders to design complex AWS and hybrid-cloud systems.
  • Leading cross discipline teams to design and build complex solutions in AWS.
  • Automating system deployment, operation and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling.
  • Evangelising digital transformation and AWS tooling use both internally within Northrop Grumman and within our customers.
  • Mentor and assist in the training and upskilling of engineers, whilst maintaining and expanding our own skill and certification set.

Your Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience working within IT Systems Architecture, Design, Deployment and Administration, with recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions
  • Amazon Web Services Certified to Professional level with experience of designing, deploying and administering cloud-based solutions
  • Deep working knowledge of a number of AWS tools from the Database, Analytics & Machine Learning product families
  • Experience of utilising AWS Landing Zones such as Control Tower for Organisation Management
  • Experience of automating tasks using AWS CloudFormation, CKD, SDK or Terraform
  • Experience of administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Experience of designing, deploying and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including Subnetting, OSPF Routing, VLANs and VPNs
  • Experience of other clouds such as Azure
