Position Details:
This opportunity is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a Monday through Friday hybrid (telework/in-office) schedule, on first shift. When in the office, the reporting location for this position is DMV (60 State Street in Wethersfield).
Discover the opportunity to:
- Prepare and maintain all human resources records and transactions for employees including but not limited to, processing positions, new hires, reclassifications, seniority, and salary adjustments.
- Assist with the recruitment process from the initial process of establishing and assessing appropriate job classifications, processing the request through the agency's internal procedures, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of applicants.
- Adhere to the state's reemployment and SEBAC guidelines.
- Interpret and apply union contract language.
- Coordinate Human Resources orientation including working with new hires on paperwork, presenting DMV’s orientation presentation, processing new hire paperwork and data entry into CORE-CT.
- Advise employees on matters relating to employment, career development, transfer, and separations.
