What you'll be doing
You will work as part of the hotel team to make sure we give all our guests a Warm Welcome through to a Fond Farewell. You’ll be fanatical about delivering quality service to our guests. Customer safety is also extremely important to us, as part of the role, you will ensure H&S, Fire and Food Safety standards are adhered to, to guarantee the safety of our guests and team.

What you’ll be doing as a Guest Service Assistant
- Welcoming guests
- Recognizing Reward Members
- Acknowledging stay preferences
- Encouraging guests to join the Rewards Club and informing of all member benefits
- Maintain IHG Way of clean and high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
- Ensuring that all guests experience an outstanding level of service throughout their guest journey, including auditing bedrooms for cleanliness or condition issues
- Ensuring that every guest experiences a safe visit, exceeding all expectations surrounding cleanliness
- Engage, build and develop relationships with guests, assessing their needs and flexing style and approach appropriately
- Ensuring all repeat guests, priority members and VIPs receive recognition and appreciation
- Welcoming all guests to the hotel and completing their check-in to a high standard, getting to know their reason for staying and accommodating accordingly
- Demonstrating a sales mentality to selling bedroom, ME and FB including making recommendations for guests to upgrade, dine in the restaurant with our takeaway providers and informing of the breakfast included with every stay
- Responding promptly to guest complaints and finding ways to turn around any negative feedback prior to guest checkout
- Keeping up to date with hotel facilities, brand standards, operational standards and the local market area, so as to be able to effectively assist guests and complete on duty tasks
- Process and receive telephone or walk-in reservations accurately
- Process bookings and follow payment instructions accurately
- Look for ways to deliver continuous improvements to the guest experience.
- Oversee the breakfast service, check product quality, product availability, cleanliness of restaurant areas and greet guests
Your experience
- Experience in a hotel environment is desirable but not essential.
- A desire to work hard and have fun
