Job Description

RC Mowers is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to play a vital role in creating a culture of impeccable production, industry leadership, workplace satisfaction and healthy growth—this all stems from the hands-on care and development of our “human resources.”

We are RC Mowers, based in Suamico, Wisconsin (a suburb of Green Bay). We design and manufacture Autonomous Mowing Robots™ and Remote-Operated Robotic Mowers for commercial use. As our Director of Human Resources, you are responsible for defining our Human Resources strategic, long-term vision and executing that vision, while being willing to dig in on the day-to-day and less-than “executive” tasks. Full disclosure: The HR department at RC Mowers is currently a team of (almost) one. While you won’t be our first HR professional, you will be the first to build your team from the ground up. You’ll have tremendous influence on feeding the environment and future of this company, but you must be willing to help us bake the bread.

Our Human Resources at Work:

· RCM was founded in 2018. In 2023, after doubling our revenue year over year, we built and moved into a new manufacturing and administrative facility in Suamico.

· We build USA-made Autonomous Mowing Robots™ and Remote-Operated Robotic Mowers with a NE Wisconsin workforce that knows what it means and feels like to do a good day’s work. When sourcing components, we collaborate to the best of ability, with Wisconsin-based partners.

· We currently employ more than 60 professionals working on-site, remotely and in hybrid situations. The Director of HR is a full-time on-site position. We anticipate much growth in technology-related positions in addition to our manufacturing operations.

The Director of Human Resources reports to the CEO and is responsible for achieving the following results:

· The RC Mowers culture is protected, understood and cascaded throughout the organization.

· Our organization is staffed in a way that allows us to meet our business objectives.

· Roles within the company are designed and defined in a way that maximizes the productivity of the organization.

· Our human resources operations are efficient and effective, and our company is compliant with state and federal HR laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

· BS/BA in relevant field from accredited university, or equivalent work experience, required

· 10+ years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a management capacity

· 5+ years of experience in Generalist HR, ideally in a business with more than 50 employees

· Experience with and fundamental understanding of compensation and incentive plans

· Experience with OSHA Safety compliance in a manufacturing setting preferred

· Expertise in laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment

· Strong, positive, and clear written and verbal communication skills

· Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

· Exceptionally trustworthy and committed to safeguarding confidential information and ensuring company and employees are properly cared for and protected

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Added Value:

· Proven success building a high-performing human resources team preferred

· Experience as an administrator of BambooHR preferred

· MBA, MA, SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP preferred
