Grow your career as a Channel Manager-Customer Marketing within ALG Vacations, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role you will work to turn vacation dreams into life-long memories by becoming a part of the ALG Vacations team, home to the following six consumer vacation brands: Apple Vacations, BeachBound Vacations, CheapCaribbean, Funjet Vacations, Southwest Vacations, and United Vacations. As a Channel Manager, Customer Marketing you will be responsible for managing the consumer Email and SMS marketing channels for several of our key brands, helping us engage with consumers in dynamic, personalized campaigns and journeys as well as developing strategies to drive revenue, while analyzing campaign performance data.

A successful Channel Manager-Customer Marketing will:

  • Planning, defining, and implementing email campaigns based on best practices, performance data, and internal business objectives, partnering with Content, Creative, and Brand teams as well as other Performance Marketing Channels.
  • Managing setup, audience segmentation, testing, Q/A, deploying, tracking, and optimizing the email marketing channel.
  • Overseeing the development and execution in the CRM/ESP for triggered, promotional, and engagement lifecycle email and SMS campaigns.
  • Developing strategies and a roadmap to drive revenue through email marketing; diving deep into performance data to support optimization and growth efforts.
  • Creating more personalized customer journeys utilizing email, SMS, and CDP to connect with our current, past, and potential customers where they are in the buyer's cycle and nurturing them through the cycle faster and reducing fall out, ultimately increasing conversion.
  • Focusing on trends and competitive analysis in email and SMS marketing to send cutting edge, optimized, user experience focused communications that will break through the clutter and are goal oriented.
  • Monitoring and manage email deliverability and ensure legal compliance.
  • Compiling reporting from ESP, Google Analytics, and Microsoft PowerBI and analyzing data for performance trends and providing regular reporting and strategic recommendations for data-driven decisions.
  • Developing strategy for campaign testing such as A/B, Multi-variant, and other dynamic testing, analyze test results, and incorporate into future strategies.
  • Working with ESP partners and data providers to gain deep understanding of new and existing services and brainstorm new approaches and strategies to increase customer engagement and revenue.
  • Working in a collaborative team environment to consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Serving as a liaison on behalf of the email marketing team and foster strong relationships with analytics, IT, brands, and vendors to ensure seamless partnerships throughout email campaign development and execution.

A successful Channel Manager-Customer Marketing will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing or Analytics related field
  • 2-5 years of B2C Email/CRM marketing experience in a cutting-edge, fast-paced environment/
  • 2-5 years of experience with enterprise-level Email Service Providers (ESPs) required, such as Responsys, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Familiarity with business management tools such as Teams, Trello, Google Analytics, Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint.
  • Experience or willingness to learn Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, AI tools.
  • Ability to travel 5-10% of time.
  • Highly analytical with an understanding of data driven marketing with the ability to derive meaning from data and turn insights into actions.
  • Knowledge of best practices for database and email marketing – email distribution, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, performance metrics, CAN-SPAM laws, and list segmentation.
  • Creative, self-motivated and ready to take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Strong writing, spelling, grammar and attention to detail is vital.
  • Strong time management and follow up skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, clerical and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present ideas to business leaders.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to comply with strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Flexibility and willingness to conform to changing job responsibilities.

  • Competency in leveraging customer insight to creatively introduce forward thinking and dynamic approaches to marketing.
