Job Description
We seek a highly organised, warm and friendly client services professional to join our friendly team. You should be passionate about making a positive difference in a growing company with a great social purpose helping neurodiverse students realise their potential.
About Bright Heart Education
Bright Heart is an award-winning London-based tutoring agency – we won the Tuition Business of the Year award at the 2022 National Tutoring Awards. We are also an accredited National Tutoring Programme (NTP) Tuition Partner. We offer a more nurturing approach and help students with special educational needs (SEN) and those lacking confidence or motivation.
After continued strong growth, we seek help to increase our capacity to deliver high-quality tuition to families, schools and local authorities.
The role
You will be responsible for managing new leads and clients. The role will encompass elements of sales and client account management. You will work alongside an existing client manager who focuses on private clients and will also work closely with a director who acts as a senior account manager for school and local authority clients.
The role will be dynamic and will suit someone keen to use their multitude of skills across all business areas as required. You should be able to quickly build rapport with new people on the telephone through your outgoing personality. In addition, you should be happy to multi-task and have excellent organisational skills, written communication and attention to detail.
The role will be working from home, with periodic office days in Central London (currently monthly). Although this is a full-time role (preference for 40 hours per week), we are flexible on working hours. For example, you could fit hours around school hours/holidays to suit a parent with children at school. You can grow with the company as we continue on our growth path.
Bright Heart serves London and parts of Surrey in person and offers online tuition nationwide and internationally. While this is a working-from-home role, we want to hire someone within easy commuting distance of London, as we work together and meet socially and for training purposes in Central or SW London periodically.
Duties
You must be prepared to handle a variety of tasks based on the company’s requirements, which may include:
- Handling new client enquiries promptly to ensure clients are happy
- Discussing initial tutoring requirements with clients and recording information in our tuition management system
- Working closely with our education consultants to ensure clients receive excellent tuition
- Sending clients tutor proposals and managing client onboarding
- Client relationship management
- Reviewing and acting upon lead and client information in our management information systems
- Updating lead and client information in our management information systems as required (with support from the client support staff member)
- Helping with business development initiatives and other ad hoc projects as required
- Engaging with social media channels
- Performing certain other administrative tasks as needed
Benefits of the role
You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where you will learn quickly from working directly with the company’s directors, who are experienced business professionals.
In addition, Bright Heart offers the right candidate:
- Competitive remuneration with the potential for performance bonuses (up to 15% of gross salary) and growth in remuneration with strong individual and company performance
- Career growth potential in a successful, growing company
- A respectful working environment in a purpose-driven business
- Training and professional development
- Company pension plan
- Working from home with the potential for flexi-time working and optional additional unpaid leave during the summer holidays
- Well-being initiatives include a weekly individual 30-minute online personal training session with a personal trainer and Pilates instructor paid for by the company and a monthly early Friday finish
- Team dinners/events and a friendly, welcoming team
Key skills and experience
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially patience and empathy and excellent telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills, an ability to multi-task and a positive can-do positive attitude
- Previous experience working in a similar role with demonstrable client services skills and experience
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- A quick learner who can prioritise effectively and work independently
- Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook and Word)
- Able to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information
- An interest in education and special educational needs (SEN) and a genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
- A bachelor’s degree
- The right to work in the UK
- Within commuting distance of Central and SW London
- A fast and reliable internet connection and a quiet space for working from home
Salary
£26,000 to £28,500 per annum (full-time equivalent gross, before potential performance bonuses), depending on experience and qualifications.
