The Director role will report directly to the Vice President of IT Strategies and Process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Management of the IT Finance team responsible for Monthly expense reporting and forecasting.
• Develop and deliver the processes to support AOP collection and prioritization.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of IT’s enterprise portfolio.
• Maintain the IT Business Partner framework and direction.
• Working with Finance on both capital and Opex IT forecasts and related cash flow
• Being IT’s point of contact working with Finance on all TCO and ROI calculations for foretasted initiatives.
• Partnering with Procurement and Legal to ensure IT contracts and SOWs are properly reviewed, tracked and prioritized against approved initiatives.
• Define, maintain and report on key IT metrics for management review.
• Work on IT strategy and planning.
• Consolidating the strategy and financial view across all IT towers.

It is essential that this person have the ability to build strong business relationships, leverage deep financial analytical skills, and displays strong teamwork skills. This individual must be self-motivated and have prior similar experience in managing both International and US based IT capital and expense budgets and understand IT deliverables and contracts.

REQUIRED:

• MS in Computer/Management Information Services or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of Information Technology experience that include large scale IT initiatives and business transformation events.
• 3+ years building business relationships with key customers (client/account/vendor management)
• Strong Executive Presentation and Storyboard creation experience
• Experience developing Annual Operation Plans and processes
• Experience creating, maintaining, and reconciling operational and capital budgets of at least $20M each.
• Combination of conceptual and analytical capabilities
• Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Experience procuring and negotiating pricing and terms for Information Technology products, including software licensing, software maintenance, hardware, telecom services, hosted technology services, consulting, and temporary labor.
• Experience with complex financial analysis, including lease versus purchase comparisons and term versus permanent software licensing comparisons.
• Understanding of capitalization and lease rules for IT products.

Compensation & Benefits Details

• An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
• The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
• You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
