SalarySalary Range: Up to $36,880/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential FunctionsJob Summary:- The Audio-Visual Technician II will provide skilled technical support in the operation and maintenance of audio and visual equipment utilized in a learning environment and event conference center. This position works closely with faculty, staff, and students aiding in the connection and delivery of multi-media audio-visual and respective presentations.
Duties:- Provide audio-visual support for special events, meetings and special projects.
- Provide technical support for video conferences and live streams.
- Attend planning meetings for scheduled meetings and events.
- Conduct audio-visual run of shows and test connections.
- Work closely with student team assisting in technology care and support.
- Provide departmental audio-visual support including staff and director meetings.
- Liaison with the university's Academic Technology department on special events, projects, and campus strategic planning of campus audio-visual resources.
- Liaison and coordinate with third party audio-visual partners and companies contracted to provide audio-visual service by UTSA and external clients.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- High school graduation or GED.
- Additional courses in audio and video equipment repair and maintenance or similar.
- Minimum of two years' experience in the operation and maintenance of audio and video equipment.
- Experience utilizing computers and other standard office, projectors, monitors, public address systems, computers/laptops, software applications, cameras, recorders and more.
- Experience utilizing Windows/IOS systems.
- Ability to support events and special programs on evenings and weekends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft interesting content for different audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects with a strong attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines.
- High motivation to realize the vision and strategic plan of a rapidly developing public research university and its nascent data science hub.
Preferred Qualifications- Associate's Degree or completion of a technical training program in audio and video equipment repair.
- Similar experience within an educational environment.
- Familiarity with event planning and production.
- Familiarity and/or interest with data science, data analytics, and related technologies, methods and issues.
Working Conditions- Office Environment.
- Ability to travel to and from meeting, training sessions or other business-related events.
- After hours and weekend work is required.

On Campus: Primary work location will be downtown San Antonio at San Pedro I, 506 Dolorosa St., San Antonio, TX 78204. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
