How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?
The Manager, Internal Communications, will help EGPAF employees across the organization and within country offices stay up to date about the company’s vision, goals, projects, and executive updates by driving strategic internal and executive communications.
Working closely with External Affairs leadership (EVP, VP) and in collaboration with other internal key stakeholders, including the Offices of the President, Human Resources and DEIB, the Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the internal communications strategy to ensure operational efficiency and to support thought leadership. The Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling content that engages employees and strengthens the company’s culture. The Manager will work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with a knack for interpersonal skills and a passion for creating experiences. The role will build a strong culture of collaboration to create experiences that engage, connect and inspire the community of employees. The Internal Communications Manager will be based in Washington, DC, and report to the Associate Director of Digital Communications, based in Washington, DC.
No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect to do in this role?
- Develop and execute a strategic internal and executive communications plan: You will align internal and executive messaging with the company’s vision, mission, and product positioning.
- Work cross-functionally across teams: You will work in close partnership with External Affairs leadership, Office of the President, Human Resources, the DEIB Director, and the Executive Leadership team to execute communication initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Produce employee communications: Develop and author a variety of internal and executive communications including presentations, announcements, blogs to be delivered across a variety of communications channels.
- Manage the company’s internal communications channels: Maintain and execute the editorial calendar (blogs, newsletters, executive emails, etc.), research and develop quotes from people, draft stories, host and produce internal webinars[EM1] [YB2] , shoot videos, contribute to the Intranet, and other internal communications tactics, as needed.
- Support leadership and company meetings: You will help craft the messaging and program through agenda, speaker selection and logistics.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience. You have successfully managed a variety of corporate communications channels, including corporate intranets, mobile, and internal social media channels.
- Strong executive communications experience: You can write and tailor content for specific audiences that demonstrates a deep understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs. You are also capable of managing sensitive matters with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Fearless when embracing technology: You are comfortable learning new programs easily to enhance company-wide communication.
- Organized and creative: With news constantly changing, you can adapt and change directions instantly. You are comfortable working at a fast pace and can meet deadlines.
Bonus points if you have:
- Ability to work in a global health setting communicating across various channels and time zones.
- Promotion and dissemination of editorial content.
- Knowledge of Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, and AirTable.
- French or Portuguese language skills
