Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of the Director of Marketing is to ensure that brand perception and values are strictly adhered to in terms of messaging that is distributed on behalf of the company. The Director of Marketing will own the communication process for the core marketing team. They will have the first set of eyes for approvals on branded content, creative content, and event marketing of the venues. The Director of Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing materials, marketing communications, content creation, and overseeing the Marketing Department. They will create and oversee all social media content and communications, as well as develop, design, and distribute marketing materials needed to build brand recognition and support the operations of each venue.

The Director of Marketing is expected to work between 40 - 50 hours weekly, with an average 5-day work week. Schedules are tentative and hours expected can be dependent on business levels, special events, holidays, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as key liaison between marketing team, senior management, venue level operations teams, and partners to ensure all marketing efforts are being executed at the highest level.
  • Manage a team of creative marketing personnel to drive key initiatives. Measures and evaluates staff performance via employee reviews and takes corrective actions when necessary. Sets expectations and standards for marketing team to create productive and positive work environment.
  • Manage annual marketing budgets for the company with monthly reporting on ROI recaps provided to VP of Operations. Develops and recommends short and long term revenue strategies, including sales and marketing plans and goals.
  • Oversee and drive planning around an annual calendar of key activations at all outlets.
  • Manages and drives all aspects of marketing events from conceptualization to execution, including (but not limited to) decor, staff attire, branded promotional giveaways, performers, social media outreach and promotions.
  • Work closely with the event sales team, enabling them to meet their objectives by providing and generating tools and materials.
  • Oversees master event calendar to ensure special events are properly scheduled and to ensure no discrepancies.
  • Ensures that management, sales, operations, culinary, guest services, and administrative teams all receive accurate information as pertains to upcoming marketing initiatives and has adequate resources for proper promotion and distribution.
  • Checks all onsite media assets for consistency and correct collateral.
  • Manage and optimize web site content for emerging mobile, tablet, and desktop environments.
  • Cultivates, pitches, and secures local & national partners/sponsors to create events that attract publicity and attendance to the venue.
  • Works together with Director of Operations to understand and execute all deliverables.
  • Creates monthly and daily task schedules to ensure assigned projects are completed by given deadlines.
  • Conceptualizes and gives creative direction for design of all menu creation, special event collateral (printed and electronic), advertising, printed fliers, email blasts, invitations, social media, etc.
  • Checks all marketing materials for consistency and correct verbiage including, but not limited to, business cards, advertisements, menus, etc.
  • Conceptualizes and creates capabilities proposals and sales kits (both printed and electronic) for TC Restaurant Group properties for guest services, sales & marketing teams.
  • Works with various partners, both local and international to create on-site activations.
  • Manages and oversees any digital platform utilized by the team.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations to design and distribute all internal and external marketing, communications, and public relations activities/materials, including print materials, media relations, online design, social media, advertising, recruiting and related materials
  • Conduct relevant market research and monitor the marketing/social media industry and trends to facilitate innovative operations
  • Assist the Operations teams with any special projects deemed necessary

  • Oversee public relations efforts. Reviews all press releases for distribution to media outlets. Works with retained public relations outlets to ensure proper media coverage for events (booking photographers, etc). Ensures that public relations outlets are maximizing media opportunities including but not limited to: photo/film shoots, calendar listings, feature inclusion in print and online, television coverage inclusion, etc.

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-7 years prior Marketing Experience including managing a team.

Prior budget management experience is a must.

  • Experience developing and executing successful digital marketing plans across all digital channels is a must, including social advertising.
  • Experience with Adobe Omniture Suite, Asana, TripleSeat, Facebook Business Manager and Google Analytics/DFA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of online technology with particular focus in blogs, social networks (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), mobile and other emerging platforms.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, Adobe, POS systems.
  • Prior budget management experience
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing and Strategy
