Job Overview and Responsibilities
Operating as a member of the Logistics Team you will ensure safe, environmentally compliant and efficient bulk and packed material loading and off-loading, storage and warehousing service to site, to meet production schedules and targets. The position is Monday to Friday days.
Requirements
- Receipt and storage of packed and bulk raw materials, and packaging on to site whilst ensuring the correct segregation of incompatible materials is maintained and records are maintained accordingly in compliance with procedures.
- Loading of finished goods in bulk form into tankers or road barrels, in compliance with procedures. Preparation of associated paperwork and recording movements.
- Maintain an efficient supply and recording of movements of raw materials to production facilities in line with schedules.
- Maintain an efficient supply and recording of movements of finished products and ensuring they are labelled and stored correctly and all empty packaging etc is removed to the correct locations and documented accordingly.
- Preparation of customer’s packed orders, in line with schedule and all labelling/documentation and order preparation is completed to the required standard.
- Sampling of bulk storage tanks during loading when necessary.
- Operation of the Effluent plant.
- Participate in housekeeping operations on site.
- Carry out forklift truck inspections and issue reports to management.
- Participate in stocktaking as required.
- Ensure that the site safety and quality systems are adhered to.
- Carry out IT transactions
Essential Skills
- A good general standard of education including English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above
- Experience of packing, loading and offloading of bulk material in tankers or road barrels would be advantageous.
- Experience of working in a Chemical COMAH plant environment desirable.
- Awareness of handling Dangerous Chemicals
- Driving permit for forklift
- Must be able to follow procedures and pay attention to detail.
- Must be IT literate, experience in use of ERP system is desirable

Salary: £18,200.00-£22,700.00 per year
