Grundfos Manufacturing are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join the team in Sunderland, UK.
As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our production processes and performance of our APT (Autonomous Production Team) through task guidance, coaching, direction setting and motivation.
Other responsibilities also include:
- Ensuring all employees know strategy and direction for the plant to initiate actions
- Supervise production team and ensure all targets are met
- Train and develop team members to improve knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Facilitate the APT
- Promote a safe working behaviors culture and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
- Continuously improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost
- Supervise production tasks and projects as and when required
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a background in production management from a manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure our production processes are efficient, effective, and high quality.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a production supervisor role, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Proven history of delivering production targets and process improvements
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Has strong beliefs and an advocate in health, safety and wellbeing
- Knowledge of how to implement action plans for all industrial operations, integrating compliance with all industrial regulations in a normal environment
- Knowledge of continuous elimination of the ‘8 wastes’
