Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Performance and Reporting Analyst to join the Transactional Service team. The individual will need to draw on their knowledge of finance with particular emphasis on the purchase ledger and sales functions whilst supporting a large complex organisation.
You will be working with the Head of Transactional Services to maintain and build our reporting capabilities; extracting, reviewing and manipulating data to support decision making with the aim of improving performance.
The individual will be very familiar with processes, skilled in designing workflows using Visio and preparing associated documentation in order to support the teams deliver business as usual activities.
Working with the Head of Transactions Services, to support our continuous improvement initiatives as we implement new systems, ways of working and procedures across the functions.
You will be skilled in identifying and compiling data from a variety of sources, applying tools/techniques for data analysis confident in summarising and presenting results with an ability to present impactful visual material to a range of stakeholders.
- Identify data for analysis based upon requirements
- Manipulate, merge and link different data sets as required
- Establish reporting needs and draw recommendations
- Compile data in preparation for analysis from multiple sources including data bases, spreadsheets and reports
- Schedule and automate queries
- Document, evaluate, update and maintain other key Transaction Services procedures, workflows and policies researching best practice areas
- Become familiar and utilise software, reviewing functionality and understand the interface requirements between systems to ensure data integrity/consistency
- Develop and maintain monthly KPI reporting, to drive improved performance
- Ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual reporting timetables in respect of key Committee, Audit and NHS is met
- Support the AP function and Trust employees in relation to P2P processes, to proactively assist in the resolution of queries
- Provide and interpret decision-making information using forecasting techniques, reviewing current and past trends.
- Design dashboards adapting presentation for intended audience
