Job Description
We require Health Care Support Workers to join our existing Maternity and Labour Ward teams, to support the Midwives giving care to antenatal, labouring and postnatal patients.

Health Care Support Worker
Shift Pattern: Long days, short shift’s to include night duty and Bank Holidays
Duties will include assisting women in all aspects of daily living, e.g. helping women and babies with their hygiene needs, breastfeeding support, cleaning duties on the wards to include responsibility for undertaking daily checks. Work within the unit involves working a variety of shifts to cover the 24-hour service and consequently includes day, night and weekend work.
The appointed candidates will be able to demonstrate good communication skills both verbal and written, an ability to work flexibly within a team and will have previous experience in a consumer care / health care environment. The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate both the ability to prioritise tasks and the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Louth Hospital is set on the edge of the Wolds and serves the communities of Louth and the local area. It provides a number of services, including an outpatient department, diagnostic and surgical procedures, as well as a surgical ward.
