The Role:
Reporting to the Senior OPC Manager and indirectly to the Operational Risk Department (ORM), the role is to assist the Business Senior Leadership Team (specifically SMF 3, 18 & 24) to assess and manage its operational risk in accordance with Group’s model for the management of operational risk and with the support of the Operational Risk Control Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- To Support the Senior OPC Manager in the development of the Risk framework across the 1st Line of defence teams.
- Represent the Governance team at relevant Business and Operations Forums as required
- To complete Operational Permanent Control tasks as follows:-
- Risk Mapping- Identify and assess risks of which the generic risks provided by BNP Paribas Personal Finance Central Function
- Control Procedures -Adapt the generic procedures, Define and formalise the local procedures
- Recommendation and action plan - Follow up implementation of Management Action Plan that may be issued pursuant to i) failed Internal controls ii) internal compliance monitoring team reviews) findings and recommendations from Group General Inspection iv) findings and recommendations from regulatory bodies
- Incident Management - Identify and quantify Incident ( including fraud) Report incidents (including fraud) to BNP PF UK ORM team
Skills & Attributes:
- Good operational experience.
- Ability to question and challenge
- Some understanding of Operational Risk
- Attention to detail
- Ability to analyse and summarise for data reports
