Job Description
Stocks produce from cooler to sales floor in foods area of the warehouse. Clears and cleans area, assists members, answers any queries and uphold outstanding member service.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall-danger zone.
- Follows merchandising standards and practices. Rotates stock. Aligns product, collects and returns stray items, stocks to maintain high product levels.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plan and priorities. Communicates with buying office to discuss product condition and levels.
- Moves and positions pallets of merchandise using manual pallet jack. Stacks product from partial pallets onto full pallets. Stacks boxes of produce on stacked pallets.
- Monitors condition of product and culls bad produce. Straightens and arranges produce. Observes and ensures correct product signage. Cleans spills and debris from area.
- Uses box knife to cut boxes for display/accessibility of product and to cut twine or shrink-wrap from pallet.
- Pulls loose cardboard and slip-sheets from pallets. Removes empty pallets and boxes from produce area. Operates cardboard bailer.
- Prepares list for RTV department of items to be destroyed from RTV rack in produce cooler. Trashes items while manager checks against list. Operates trash compactor and cardboard bailer.
- Provides prompt and courteous member service. Helps members to load large items into their trolley, directs members to products, relates product status knowledge.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week
