A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Support Officer to join the Research Data Team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB).
Previous experience working in research is advantageous. However in-house training and competencies will be given to enhance your skills and knowledge.
This post will be primarily based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the potential for cross working across multiple UHB sites may be required. This is a 12 month fixed-term post in the first instance.

This post holder will support the Research Data projects team including supporting with the RD&I Health Research Data hubs PATHWAY which provides safe access to clinicians, analysts and researcher who are committed to using UHB data to improve patient care.
The Post holder will be responsible for managing inboxes, supporting data requests for applications, as well as data quality within R,D&I systems. The post holder will utilise or develop easily digestible reports which facilitate information sharing and stimulate proactive actions as well as ad hoc support to the Research Data projects team as required.
The post holder role will be inclusive of but not limited too supporting and facilitating PPIE (patient and public involvement and engagement) groups as well as managing the Data Trust Committee groups that review applications, arranging meetings, payments to partners/ PPIE members. Provide a high-quality service to ensure that trust wide standards are maintained and monitored in order to improve the size, quality and breadth of the portfolio, contributing to improving the health and wealth of the nation.

Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through any combination of alternative study, employment, or voluntary work
OR
Healthcare/Science based A levels plus evidence of continuing professional development to degree level
Evidence of continuous professional development
Significant experience working with MS Office (particularly Excel) applications via a desk top PC.
Understanding and experience of research lifecycle.
Understanding of research management systems.
Awareness of Principles of Data Protection and Good Clinical Practice.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality.
Experience of working in a busy environment working independently and exercising judgement and decision making skills.
Ability to write and evaluate simple reports.
