Job: Project Support Officer – Public Service Reform

Salary: £25,878 - £29,439

Hours: 36.25 hours per week

Contract: Temporary Fixed term contract until March 2025

Location: Tootal Building, Oxford Road, Manchester

Your role:

This Project Support Officer role will provide support across policy areas in the Public Service Reform team, helping to deliver a range of high profile and important programmes of work that aim to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and communities across the city region.

Working in a dynamic, fast paced and stimulating environment you will provide administrative support to a range of workstreams, projects and programmes with a focus on supporting the School Readiness and wider Children and Young People’s programme. You will be part of wider team and work closely with other internal services in the GMCA, as well as a wide range of external stakeholders including local authorities, GM Integrated Care, voluntary and community sector enterprises and a broad range of local partners, working collectively to deliver our vision of good lives for all in the city region.

This role will be focussed on the day to day running and development of programmes of work. You will work with programme leads to support with governance and reporting, financial processes, stakeholder engagement, event planning and delivery and wider project activity. It would suit candidates with a background in administration or project coordination with a passion for improving outcomes for children, young people and communities.

The postholder will contribute to the goals of the Reform Directorate through the provision of high quality project support and administration which is focused, flexible and timely, contributing to the objectives of a fast moving organisation. The postholder will support work across the Directorate, with a specific focus on delivery of projects and workstreams within School Readiness and the wider Children Young People’s programme
