As a Graduate Finance Apprentice, you will be part of the Disney+ team focused on the Direct-to-Consumer remit. The Direct-to-Consumer team is responsible for the sales, distribution, and marketing of the companies’ video entertainment service to Disney+. You will be part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region which service consists of our key five content brands – Disney, Pixel, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. In addition, it includes general entertainment titles from local originals such as 20th Century, ABC Studios and FX.
This Apprenticeship will grow and enhance your knowledge of finance and will strengthen your experience across Disney’s finance disciplines, as well as obtaining the Level 7 Apprentice in Accountancy.

This opportunity is based in Disney's Hammersmith Office and will require you to be on-site four days per week.
Responsibilities will include the below, with the line manager’s supervision and continuous review:
Supporting of managing elements of the Disney+ Profit & Loss (P&L) for the UK & Regional markets.
Supporting the local market finance team and be the main point of contact for any market specific queries.
Support with the overall process of Annual Operating Planning (AOP), Forecasts and Close, incorporating both internal EMEA and US deadlines into the processes.
Review of actuals booked vs. forecast & budget.
Understand and become the expert across various systems used to extract and input data to support AOP, Forecast & Close cycles.
Support with the preparation and maintenance of specific financial models used within the AOP, Forecast, 5 Year Plan (5YP) & Close cycles as required by the line manager.
Support with the preparation of the overall EMEA Consolidated position as required by line manager.
On-going process improvement initiatives.
Support where needed with accounting entries to be posted by working with the SSC Accounting Team (we are serviced by a separate central accounting department within Disney, you will not be required to use an accounting software system, input journals, compute double entry accounting)
Eligibility
Must have achieved/be on target to achieve an undergraduate degree
A passion to start a career in Finance.
Interest in the finance area whether this is through your studies, experience, extracurricular or a general interest.
Must have the right to work in the UK already in place.
Must be available to start the apprenticeship in September 2023.
Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferable (on-the-job training will be provided)
Good time management skills and ability to juggle more than one task at the same time.
A numbers person who is accurate, logical and thorough.
Good attention to detail.
Good communication skills, both verbal & written.
Able to work independently and ask for help/advice where needed.
