Job Title: Wellbeing Practitioner

Hourly rate: £14.54

Hours: 21.5 hours per week (working Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays)

Reports to: Manager

Accountable to: Manager

SUMMARY

This job description is an outline of the key responsibilities of the Wellbeing Practitioner role and is not intended as an exhaustive list.

All employees within the Organisation have the following responsibilities:The post holder must not, by act or omission, endanger the safety of him/herself or others and must report all untoward occurrences. The post holder must be responsible for all the Organisations property and the reporting of all potential or actual breaches of security.

Disclosure of Criminal Background
Bluesci’s Directors are required to check with the DBS the possible criminal background of staff and volunteers who apply for work with vulnerable people.

Successful applicants will be asked to complete and sign a Disclosure Form giving permission for the screening to take place.

Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with the Organisation. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of offences. Please note applicants refusing to sign the form will not be progressed further. T

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Wellbeing Practitioner Post - Essential (E) / Desired (D)

KNOWLEDGE

Willingness to learn the values and principles underpinning person centered, recovery, social prescribing and positive therapeutic relationships. E

Willingness to learn & gain knowledge and understanding of best practice and national developments relating to Recovery, Social prescribing & Social Inclusion. E

Willingness to learn & gain Knowledge of the management of people within the field of Recovery, Social Prescribing & Social Inclusion. E

Knowledge of budget/resource management. E

Knowledge of risk management processes [Positive risk taking and self-management] and the ability to assess and manage risk professionally and organisationally [risk to staff/resources] E

Knowledge of systems management and ability to monitor the effectiveness of those systems. E

Supervisory experience. D

Involvement in workshops/ consultations/ working groups. D

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to plan, prioritise and delegate the allocation of work to the team appropriate to their level of experience. E

Ability to manage conflict. E

Ability to manage systems and processes (including IT) relating to the responsibility for individual members of the team – capability/ absence. E

A demonstrable ability to analyse information to determine and plan interventions. Decide and direct a course of action with staff with case responsibility for individuals. E

Familiarity with electronic business support processes for records, calendar management, word processing etc. D

LEADERSHIP

Ability to transfer knowledge and skills to the team and colleagues through supervision, coaching, mentoring and co-working. E

Ability to motivate and inspire individuals accessing the service and the team to their own personal goals and the goals and outcomes of individuals and the PCN. E

Ability to gain respect and trust. E

An ability to encourage the team and volunteers to question basic assumptions, considering problems from new and unique perspectives. E

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

At least 1 year experience of working with people or in a wellbeing role. E

Prior experience of coaching, supporting, motivating individuals. E

Leadership Qualification PWP / Counseling or equivalent qualification. D

Prior experience of psychologically informed interventions and guided self help / mentoring/co-working/supervision. D
