ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for Marketing Executive (Paid Digital) to join us at the Alton Towers Resort, the UK's only attraction that specialises in making Britain happy!

Marketing Executive (Paid Digital) will support the Commercial in managing and analysing a variety of digital marketing activity to deliver commercial outcomes. The objective of all related work for this role will be to drive improved traffic through paid media to reach budgeted traffic numbers, improve conversion across all types of bookings and enhance the customer experience online. This role requires a strong background in digital marketing either through qualifications or experience, advanced digital analytical skills and an innovative digital mind that understands the ever-changing landscape and can help suggest how new technology and advances can be employed to drive our key KPI’s.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


Digital Marketing

  • To support the Commercial Brand Manager in developing a paid social media strategy that complements our annual marketing plan, overall business vision and our market position. Within this fast-paced business the Marketing Executive will pro-actively monitor and evolve plans to suit business trading.
  • Write and supply our agencies with copy, imagery and tracking URLs whilst working with the brand team to build a library of assets to accompany the adverts for paid social adverts, PPC and CRM.
  • Work with the central CRM team to drive the Alton Towers strategy for day visitation and short breaks then continue to review and advance for future CRM campaigns with the overall goal to drive revenue.
  • Own the guest pre-arrival digital journey, ensuring it contains the most up-to-date information.
  • Leverage first party data for targeting and insights.

Website/App Development
  • To work with the Commercial Brand Manager to manage a pre agreed series of continual improvements to altontowers.com and the Alton Towers app to enhance the experience, rank, and conversion of the site.
  • Collaborate with our Brand and E-commerce team to deliver sleek user experiences and ensure our copy and marketing messages are consistent and relevant to the target audiences.
  • To support the Commercial Brand Manager in the development of any new pages, sites or apps which help deliver the marketing plan.

Content Development
  • Work with the Brand team to develop content for our onsite digital screens, providing a strong user experience, is on brand, and is optimised for the guest within that area.
  • Work to execute key content projects as requested by the Commercial Brand Manager or Brand Manager.
  • Provide the Merlin group with Alton Towers specific content and assets to feature in Merlin channels such as social media and CRM

Marketing Projects / Adhoc

  • Own the Alton Towers Local Annual Pass strategy and the success of the silver and gold pass.
  • Support the wider marketing and PR teams through the ownership and/ or involvement in marketing projects.
  • To manage and brief external agencies as required
  • Provide digital marketing expertise and advice across the business to support other functions in achieving their business objectives.
  • To continually learn about digital marketing and the landscape, share relevant learnings and case studies and make recommendations for new technology and techniques that we should adopt.
  • Support Commercial Brand Manager with marketing to our trade partners
Analytics and Reporting
  • Improve ROI/ROAS of marketing efforts by reducing customer acquisition costs, increasing revenue per customer, and optimising marketing spend across different channels.
  • To make recommendations for improving reporting and analytics platforms to increase effective working.
  • Marketing Projects / Adhoc

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU!

Applicants will need at least 2 years of digital marketing experience. You will need to have experience in paid social media, CRM marketing and a proven track record of strategic use. Experience within a fast-moving, consumer-facing industry is a bonus, and specifically within the entertainments / leisure industry is desirable.

You’ll need a passion for what we do and lots of energy to be the right cultural fit for the company (we do it for the love of fun!!)
