Our scale and rapid growth make Dyson rich in new opportunities. We value new ideas and diverse perspectives, so our people are trusted with real work and responsibility from the outset. You’ll be part of a global network of like-minded people – a community that supports and learns from each other.

At Dyson we do things differently. We look for the brightest new interns with the right attitude to thrive in our unique culture. We offer real jobs with real salaries and real prospects. You will have the autonomy and freedom to excel and have real impact on our business. We aim to inspire you to become our future leaders. This is why we need creative thinkers, people who are motivated and drive themselves forward.

About the role

It’s essential that we attract and hire the best talent and retain them to build a solid foundation for our future growth. And our rapid growth means the organisation feels fast-moving, constantly changing, so there’s opportunity to make a difference and influence the right change. Our HR experts work across the employee lifecycle to motivate and engage our people, ensuring they perform at the highest level and helping us maintain our competitive edge.

You will rotate through two, 6-month placements supporting one of the key teams such as HR Business Partnering, Reward & Benefits, Talent, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging or Strategy & Transformation. You will gain valuable exposure to the Global HR function as well as the broader business, learning more about the key HR processes, methodologies, relevant legislation and systems.

You will be supporting HRBPs in the planning and implementation of organisation changes, HR projects and initiatives that support the Dyson People strategy/local plans including graduate recruitment, talent identification and management, management capability development, personal development/career planning. You will also review data and produce reports for key employee metrics (eg turnover, headcount, absence) identifying, investigating and flagging possible issues/trends and supporting HRBPs in identifying activities to resolve them. You will also support the development and implementation of strategies and global initiatives related to Reward & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Diversity Inclusion and Belonging. You will provide project and change management support to enable the successful implementation of global and local People function initiatives.

Working with the team and interacting across business stakeholders, you’ll be comfortable learning from others but also sharing your own knowledge, ideas and opinions.

For the duration of your internship, you will have regular performance conversations as well as opportunities for development to enable you to build your reputation within the wider team and we’ll be looking to offer our high performing interns the opportunity to return on our graduate programme.
