TSO seeks an Account Manager to join our team
TSO is a UK based content publisher, delivering high quality publishing solutions, across multiple formats on behalf of clients to end customers in the UK and globally. Originally specialising in government regulatory publishing, TSO is actively developing new clients in private sector professional publishing. We will work with organisations that have high quality, business and regulatory content where we can work with them to develop their content, focus on how it can be applied and publish across multiple formats – both digital and hard copy. We are looking to ensure that all new clients and content we develop has the potential to grow – both in its breadth and its usage – into digital tools, e learning, courseware and examinations.
Having won new clients via the Business Development Team, the next stage is to onboard the client, start delivering across the timelines and contract we have agreed, to both develop and launch the content, ensuring our production, technology, sales and marketing approaches are aligned. The Account Manager will take the lead on this, being the key contact with the client, ensuring there is a delivery plan in place that matches our ambition and our contract, and ensuring that all internal resources are in place and hurdles are overcome.
It will be a varied and challenging role but supported with strong delivery teams and driven by the success that we and our clients want to achieve.
The responsibilities
-
Key client contact – you will be responsibility for achieving both our contractual commitments to the client through high levels of interaction, understanding and client service.
-
There will be multiple clients to work with – probably 6-8 at different stages of development, all looking to grow.
-
Controlling budget spend for production and marketing.
-
Achieving the sales targets that we have set as a team.
-
Reporting to clients on all critical success factors and reconciling royalty payments to them.
-
Working to form, support and direct a virtual team made up of subject matter experts with the organisation and any external partners who we need to work with to deliver. This will include the service delivery and content teams, digital production and sales and marketing teams.
-
Working with colleagues to develop your skills, learn from each other and look to have the most innovative and successful approach you can for each client.
-
To be the key organiser of all operational delivery for the client. Ensuring that there is a tight plan with milestones and quality checks for delivery of the initial content to market and the development of both the sales approach, the marketing activity to support it and the ongoing development of the client’s content and relationship
The successful candidate will have:
-
Positive can-do attitude to ensure delivery and outcomes happen.
-
Organised – both for your own work and bringing together the inputs of colleagues, partners and suppliers
-
Building long term client relationships – through building trust, understanding, empathy and balancing our clients needs with our needs as a private sector business.
-
Strategy into action – working with the team to devise a strategy that covers not just short-term launch but also longer-term growth and development goals for the client
-
Collaborative – to keep everyone involved and aligned.
-
Communication – with all internal and external stakeholders
-
The ability to see, always understand and manage risk with your projects and clients.
-
Team player – as that will be the only way you can deliver the goals of the business and our clients
-
Resilient – to pressure and stress. You will be at the centre of a fast-changing set of circumstances so will need to cope with and manage what happens.
-
Adaptable and resourceful – to overcome challenges and get results.
Experience and Qualifications:
-
Management and development of client relationships in a long term, professional business environment
-
Experience in a content development, publishing, or business services environment – working with multiple clients to tight production deadlines and sales targets.
