This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Dermatology team based at Altrincham Health & Wellbeing Centre.
You must possess excellent customer service skills along with sound communication skills. You must be able to work on your own initiative to organise and prioritise your own workload and balance this with the demands of this diverse and varied role.
You will play a key role in the front line service we provide to our patients and must therefore have previous experience within a reception / front of house role. You will support the administrative and clinical team in the preparation of clinics/theatres and booking of New, Follow Up and theatre appointments using the relevant departmental waiting lists.
Responsible for timely scanning of documents, registering referrals, answering incoming and make outgoing calls in relation to appointments and cancellations.
A strong commitment to personal and professional development and teamwork are also essential elements to the success of this role. You will be supported by a team of secretarial and administrative staff and will report directly to your Support Manager.
Planning and Organising
To ensure that all internal correspondence is sent to the relevant secretary, clinician and department.
Manage patient phone calls and voicemails within the department – answering patient queries regarding follow-up calls, waiting lists and other relevant enquiries.
Monitor clinic utilisation using vacant slot reports and relevant systems and work with the 18 week validator and admin staff to ensure full slot utilisation and to highlight any capacity to bring patients forward.
Responsible for booking appointments within short and long term capacity.
