A senior leader operating at a high level across Trayport who is responsible for planning, directing and organising all financial planning and analytical insight activities of the business. Working closely with the senior leadership team as a strategic advisor, this role understands key business drivers, contributes to strategic planning, and helps implement recommendations to drive the business forward.
Through the development of internal and external stakeholder relationships you'll become a trusted financial business partner and advisor. You will also manage, coach and mentor a high performance team of five; leading by example to champion collaboration, communication and best practice.
This role reports into the Head of Finance, working closely with the Group Financial Controller and Head of Tax & Treasury.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities
Own and drive the business intelligence for markets, products, revenue for internal and external stakeholders
Delivery of financial and non-financial analytical support for Trayport
Develop and enhance product profitability reporting and insights
Operate an effective and robust control framework to ensure the integrity of all internal and external reporting across the team
Ownership for the financial budgeting and forecasting processes
Advance the understanding and visibility of business performance through clear analysis and metrics
Ensure recurring processes (reports, forecasts, management updates) are completed as per agreed timelines
Ensure the ‘portfolio’ of programs and projects have Finance Business Partner support and governance
Promote collaboration and synergy between the Business Intelligence and Finance Business Partnering teams
Manager and developer of people
Provide leadership to a team of five, including the direct reports of Business Intelligence Manager and Finance Business Partnering Manager; providing leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and optimise the performance of the team
Conduct performance reviews on a regular basis and work with staff to develop individual development plans
Provide coaching, mentorship, and continuous feedback, recognising employee accomplishments
Create a positive work environment that emphasises accuracy and best practice
Continuous improvement champion and agent
Foster a culture of positive iterative change within the Finance Business Partnering and Business Intelligence teams
Establish a strong two-way working relationship with global peers in TMX group; a community of practice

Contribute to ‘business case’ development and modelling
Product pricing initiatives for new and existing products; Product P&L reporting development

Best practice experience of financial planning and forecasting obtained in an established business
