To be eligible for the relocation payment, you must live more than 40 miles from the base/location of the post you are applying for and you would need to relocate to within 15 miles of the new base.

If this applies to you, please state this on your application so we can discuss this with you if you are invited to interview.

Eastway is an inpatient unit, offering assessment and treatment for adults with learning disabilities and additional complex challenging behaviours.

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor on a full time basis to work under the guidance of the Advanced Specialist Occupational Therapist on this inpatient unit, alongide the skilled and comitted multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and you will be required to provide a comprehensive and quality occupational therapy service to adults and their carers in the areas of learning disability and/or mental health.

The post holder will contribute towards promoting recovery, maximising service users’ independence and maintaining optimum levels of functional skills in a predominantly acute inpatient setting.

The individual must also be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C’s in practice, these being Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment.

The post is 37.5 hours per week and working hours can be negotiated according to service needs.
