Working in Deloitte's US/UK High Net Worth team provides individuals with US tax experience a unique opportunity to live and work in London. We frequently sponsor and relocate individuals to join us so have a diverse and supportive team culture.
The internship is a duration of 10 weeks from late January to mid-April. You will be based in Deloitte’s London office and housing will be provided for the duration of the internship. The internship will accommodate any necessary Covid-19 measures (e.g., if working from the provided housing is required) in line with UK government guidelines and requirements at the time of the internship.

In Deloitte's US/UK High Net Worth team, it is our job to help our clients navigate the complexities of the UK and US tax systems, advising them on every aspect of personal tax and the interaction between the two jurisdictions. Recognised as a market leader within this space, our goal is to proactively deliver the very best advice to our clients, with whom we seek to build deep and lasting relationships.
Made up of over 40 tax specialists from a diverse range of backgrounds, we are a team that is continuing to grow, both in terms of size and the type of client work we take on. From day one, you will work closely with high net worth clients from different industries ranging from world-leading banks, partnerships and private equity firms, to some of the most sought-after entertainment companies and sports clubs.
Since the work is so varied and fast-paced, you'll quickly develop a mix of UK and US tax technical skills and commercial acumen, coupled with interpersonal and leadership skills that will truly make you stand out from the crowd.
The internship is a ten-week paid position with the US/UK High Net Worth team with Deloitte LLP in London. It provides the best path to a full-time position as an Analyst within the group. The spring internship typically runs from late January through late April, which covers our traditional tax busy season.
Responsibilities:
As an intern, each student performs the work of a first-year analyst. This includes: preparing tax returns, identifying and researching personal tax issues and advising on itax risks and planning. During busy season, the focus is primarily on the compliance aspect of tax work (specifically tax return preparation) but there may also be opportunities to assist with consulting.

We are looking for candidates who are studuing for a degree in accounting, taxation or law and who will pursue a CPA qualification after graduation. We have accepted candidates for internship positions at various stages of their educational career. Most applicants are typically within one year of completing undergraduate studies; however, we have also had past interns who join us having already completed their postgraduate studies.
We strongly prefer candidates who have a specific interest in tax and who are willing to seriously consider living in the UK to begin their career on a full-time basis following a successful internship. Students that enjoy tackling problems in a team orientated, high performance environment will find this opportunity a rewarding experience. Personal independence
