About The Role

Our Chief information and Digital Office (CIDO) function have an exciting opportunity to join them as a Level 4 apprentice in Cyber Security

Modules that are included in your learning consist of security risk manager, threat analysis, information security and much more.

This apprenticeship means you’ll gain hands on experience, doing a real job, within our busy Information and Cyber Security team in our CIDO department, this role will be the first step in developing your chosen career.

You’ll be learning first-hand about how to drive culture change in an organisation, and how to do this effectively to manage and reduce Information Security risk. Getting involved in the end- to-end cycle of ‘people risk management’, from measuring where risks exist, through to planning and delivering interventions, measuring the results, and then updating our risk profile.

Looking at challenges through the lens of your audience, to develop a people-centric communication approach, working to build strong relationships across all functions at CBS will be key parts of the role. You’ll love getting stuck in the data, to draw behavioural insights and opportunities for improvement – turning a bunch of numbers into a real culture and behaviour change plans.

And you’ll be supported every step of the way, with a team of highly passionate and driven individuals who care as much about your development as you do.

We’ll ask you to work on a hybrid basis with at least one day a week (more if you prefer) after we've supported you in to the role, which will involve more time onsite. This will be based in our head office site Binley, Coventry where you’ll spend time with your team, enjoy free car parking, a self-service restaurant, a multi faith, a well-being and a games room!

Subject to the number of applications we receive, we may close this role earlier than advertised so please do not delay in making your application.

About You

To be considered you must have either an A level in ICT, a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject (e.g IT digital, data or testing) or a BTEC extended diploma in IT. It would also be preferable if you have a level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English (C and above in previous structure), but don’t worry if you don’t, as functional skills will be included as part of your training to complete your apprenticeship.

Your application will be assessed to ensure that you are eligible to meet the apprenticeship scheme criteria and the responses to our questions.

You’ll be passionate about the world of IT and about developing your career with a positive attitude towards gaining new knowledge, skills and behaviours that are relevant to your aspirations. You’ll need to be open and proactive in learning your job role, engaging in activities that require you to work as part of a team and independently. You’ll need to commit to the completion of any training, take ownership and responsibility for completing and attending activities required within your job role and associated with the development programme. You’ll be energised by driving your own learning and developing the necessary skills to further your career.
