Airport Bar & Coffee Shop Assistant
Bar/ Coffee Shop Assistants key responsibilities are:
· To offer excellent customer service.
· To merchandise products neatly and re-stock when low.
· To work hygienically and always try to clean when quiet from serving.
· To follow instructions from the line Managers.
Bar/ Coffee Shop Assistants are expected to:
- Take part in any training offered by the company.
- Hold a current Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene or acquire one within 3 months of start date.
- Merchandise shelves and bar.
- Assist in stock rotation and stock taking.
- Use electronic cash registers in accordance with rules and regulations.
- Be courteous and polite to customers and other members of staff.
- Refer any complaints to your manager.
- Take food orders and prepare food and drink in the correct manner using the manuals provided taking care with portion control.
- Take an active part in working as a team and helping others for the good of the store.
- Learn about and understand the products you sell and actively promote all products and promotional lines.
- Participate in all aspects of cleaning for efficient and hygienic running of the store.
- Follow the Rules of Hygiene and be aware of your personal safety and the safety of others.
- Always be of neat and tidy appearance and wear the full uniform provided.
- Receiving and confirming walk-in, telephone, and online orders.
- Ushering diners to their tables and providing them with menus.
- Accepting and informing the relevant staff about food and beverage requests.
- Mixing and pouring beverages, as needed.
- Transporting food orders from the kitchen when required.
- Clearing glassware, silverware, and crockery.
- Clearing and reporting breakages.
In Addition:
All employees must be flexible and be prepared to assist others in doing alternative work at times, although this will always be avoided where possible.
Norwich airport is a secure environment, and staff must be able to demonstrate a full 5 year reference history & do a basic DBS to be permitted on site.
Supplemental pay is offered for early shifts. Flight delay pay also offered. Annual bonus scheme available.

Part-time hours: 16-25 per week
Salary: £10.42-£10.80 per hour
