In the role of Warehouse Assistant you will be tasked with supporting all warehouse operations and logistics. The role will be based primarily at the S&C Warehouse (14 Raymouth Road, London SE16) and at the S&C office 8 Holyrood Street, London, SE1 2EL and on-site at events as required.
You will report directly into Andy Torstonson Warehouse Manager with Cat Batley our Head of Events having the overall responsibility of the warehouse.
KEY ROLES
In this role, you are:
- Driving duties daily (UK WIDE & EU) including collection of event items, equipment to events and other company sites
- Delivering Bars, Stocks, and equipment to events
- Support the management of kit/stock lists that are sent to the warehouse for picking and packing as directed by the Warehouse Manager
- Responsible for the cleanliness and general upkeep and organisation of all areas of the warehouse and vans as directed by the Warehouse Manager
- Responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in all areas of warehouse
administration and logistics both at the warehouse and on-site
- A representative of Sweet&Chilli on-site and can adher to and deliver the high standards of professionalism and service when interacting with clients, other partner suppliers and our own S&C team
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
- Ensure all items returning from projects/events are cleaned and returned to their original space
- Manage waste management – ensure all practices are being adhered to by S&C and our suppliers. S&C is a green operator where possible
- Support on-site bar builds when bars are hired outside of an event
- Develop best-in-class solutions to the unique logistical challenges faced by S&C!
REMUNERATION
The salary offered for this role is up to £25,000 depending on experience. At the start of the Sweet&Chilli financial year (1st April) we guarantee an annual salary increase in line with inflation rises (capped at 3%). You will be eligible for this increase after completing one full financial year (1st April - 30th March) of continuous employment at Sweet&Chilli.
Overtime when working on events/projects on weekday evenings or weekends is paid for via half and full lieu days (paid out to the equivalent value monthly if these are not taken due to work commitments). The policy will be shared during the interview process.

After 6 months of continuous work for S&C, staff are entitled to a 10% (of their annual wage) company- wide bonus – awarded quarterly if the employee carries out all direct responsibilities in their job description and S&C meets its company revenue and margin targets,

HOURS OF WORK / HOLIDAY
Minimum 5 days per week, 09:00 - 17:30 (standard 8 hours with 30 minutes for lunch).
However, in line with the nature of the industry, you may be required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties without extra remuneration.
Holiday – 20 days per calendar year pro rata, with no roll over & inc. compulsory days at Christmas
(increased to 25 days after 1 year of full employment)
Following a 6-month probationary period (during which there is no notice period), there is a notice period of 1 month from both parties.
Please note that all applicants need to be eligible to work in the UK.
Must Have Full UK Driving Licence.
