Broadland Drinks - Brand Manager
How we work – Our Brand team work alongside our bulk wine sourcing, market research, R&D/NPD, brand design and sales team to help grow our customers’ sales and profitability. Our quality wines and innovative drinks are bottled and produced at our BRC grade AA+ winery, where they are packed in both Branded and Private Label formats in bottles, bag-in-box, cans and pouches.
Our vision – We are seeking to create drinks brands consumers love and are aiming to develop 5 – 6 Broadlands-owned brands across theUSA and UK, alongside our existing successful private label business.
About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, this role will grow global sales of Broadland Brands through brand plans and activations to deliver growth targets. This job offers an excellent opportunity in brand management in a fast-growing international company.
As a commercially focused, dynamic and inspirational Brand Manager with experience of brand building across a diverse range of markets, you will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, able to employ unique brand building techniques to drive growth and reputation of BDL’s portfolio. A skilled brand strategist with the ability to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Design and deliver amazing brand plans to deliver the branded drinks growth strategy.
· Work with the Insights Manager to use research to understand the needs and motivations of the target consumer, using this to develop well targeted campaigns.
· Develop, design and deliver brand communications plans both for consumers and trade customers to generate sales growth and new listings for the brand portfolio. These will include PR, on and offline advertising, in store shopper activation, promotions and social media.
· With the Brands Team, be the online voice of the brands (across social media channels e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and to be a brand ambassador for the business at events.
· With the Brands Team, monitor and respond to customer comments and feedback on social media and use customer insight to inform brand development.
· Deliver programs and campaigns that generate high quality inbound trade sales leads from target trade customers.
· Provide support to help sales team gain listings at target retailers.
· Understand the needs of different trade customers and tailor trade campaigns to support and drive listings.
· Maintain consistent brand messages, using high quality and effective marketing materials to increase sales, brand loyalty and improve market share.
· Work with the Sales Team to forecast sales and volume for the brand ensuring all parts of the company are geared accordingly.
· Manage external agencies and internal briefs, tracking spend and putting KPIs and performance metrics in place.
· Identify, propose and lead high-potential value line extensions and brand developments.
· Oversee all Assets and SKUs relating to the brand, brand sales, prices, margins and P&L
About You:
You will have strong evidence of the following key skills & competencies:
· Proven track record as a Brand Manager or Assistant Brand Manager, preferably within Drink/FMCG but not essential.
· Experience of marketing to retailers
· Experience in both brand positioning, design and digital and physical brand activation
· A passionate and ambitious person who loves brands and understanding consumers.
· Great communications skills both internally and externally to share the vision for the brand and drive growth to meet the business strategy.
· Hands on multi-tasker, as happy working on own as in a team.
· A great all-rounder with strong literacy skills, attention to detail, numerate and with a can-do attitude.
· A broad set of brand management skills which are up to date and include digital activation, PR and influencer engagement as well as more traditional shopper marketing, on pack activity and retailer specific campaigns.
· Relevant marketing/brand management qualification/Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing desirable but not essential.
