Blue Wash Art, a leading art management company based in London, is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a part-time Summer Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the art industry and develop valuable skills in writing, art management, and potentially WordPress.
Responsibilities:
Writing: Assist with various writing tasks, including drafting and editing content for website updates, artist profiles, press releases, and social media posts.
Art Management: Support the art management team in organizing exhibitions, art installations, and art events. Help with inventory management, artwork documentation, and liaising with artists and clients.
WordPress Knowledge (Preferred): If you have prior experience or knowledge of WordPress, you may be given the opportunity to assist with website maintenance and updates, including uploading and formatting content, managing galleries, and optimizing the user experience.
Day-to-Day Tasks: Provide general administrative assistance such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, scheduling appointments and etc.
Requirements:
Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely.
Interest in the art industry and basic knowledge of art concepts and terminology.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Adobe.
Familiarity with WordPress is preferred but not mandatory.
London-based or able to commute to London for occasional meetings if required for the duration of the internship.
Must be available to work part-time hours during the summer months.
This is a part-time internship position with a duration of approximately 10-12 weeks during the summer period. The exact start and end dates will be determined in consultation with the selected candidate.
