Due to recent growth of the department this is a new position, you will be part of a well-established project management community to provide essential support to the team, helping to ensure the reputation of IMG and the AMRC. We are looking for a Project Manager to work across multiple and varied projects spending time with stakeholders across all business functions building delivery plans, minimising risk, and controlling budgets. Full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate in aligning with an engineering-based organisation.
In this varied and dynamic role, you will be responsible for several large projects from concept to completion ensuring that projects are delivered in a timely manner and to budget. You will also be responsible for the allocation of resources and the planning and management of workload. You will be responsible for project risk management, importantly identifying potential risks and managing these throughout the duration of each project. You will be working alongside Project Engineers and Technical Leads, in addition to interacting and working with our industrial partners. With responsibility for overall project management from concept to finalisation, you will add substantial benefit to the department.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of allocated project(s) including budgeting, planning, managing governance stages, including delivery and coordination.
- Ensuring each stage of any project is managed through status reporting
- Budgeting and financial management
- Stakeholder Management
- Have a broad understanding of Project and Change Management techniques to deliver successful and agreed outcomes
You will:
- Have significant project management experience
- Direct line management experience
- Have a good honours degree or significant experience in a project management role
- Ideally have industrial experience – either direct or indirect
- Be a strong communicator, both written and verbally
