Job Description
Acer Property Maintenance are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hard working individual. As Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance requests, including minor plumbing, electrical, joinery, painting, tiling work and any other maintenance work required.
As a multi-site organisation, you will also have to liase with other departments and managers to ensure all maintenance requests are carried out.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative without close supervision and be able to prioritise your work load. You also need to demonstrate good time keeping and have excellent communication skills.
Further Information
- Responsible for the implementation of the maintenance programs for all sites
- Responsible for the reactive and preventive maintenance of the sites, to ensure they remain functional, pleasant and safe environments for anyone who might be using them.
- Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime of equipment and rooms
- Perform effective diagnosis of breakdowns and organise a timely repair of equipment
- Document breakdowns, identifying root causes and bring remedial actions to help prevent recurring issues
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety as well as environmental regulations and procedures
- Document and prepare daily/monthly progress reports and maintenance logs
- Will work as part of a team, but independently most of the time
- Manage maintenance projects and work in accordance with quality requirements
- Manage contractors on sites to ensure they meet legal and company requirements
- Execute maintenance duties as directed by maintenance lead, manager or director
- Follow maintenance schedules as outlined
- Make small repairs and adjustments as needed
- Coordinate efforts across maintenance staff to make sure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion
- Will need to pass a DBS check
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft tools & outlook
- Basic H&S awareness
- Able to work alone
- Able to work from heights
- Ability to use own initiative
Please note that all applicants MUST have a full and clean U.K Driving licence.
The weekly working days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours can vary and occasionally may include night working.
