Warehouse Technician – Logistics

Role: Warehouse Technician, permanent
Direct report: Warehouse Supervisor
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (10:00 – 19:00 following training).
Salary: Starting from £27,000 (plus allowances following training), depending on experience and qualifications, plus we offer a fantastic benefits package and annual bonuses.
Location: Milton ParkOxfordshire, OX14 4RZ.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Technician to support the daily operations and provide backup to team members in all general warehouse duties. The position sits with the Logistics team, which is growing significantly in line with overall company expansion.
Key Responsibilities or Core Accountabilities:
- A hugely varied and interesting role within a cGMP chemical warehouse
- Receipt and sampling of hazardous chemicals
- Stock control, ensuring the warehouse ERP system is accurately maintained in terms of stock quantity, location.
- Monitoring of and adherence to warehouse processes
- Manual handling of chemical materials and components
- Complete tasks to cGMP procedures (full training will be provided)
- Follow legislative, company and departmental quality procedures, including H&S
- Provide support on other duties when required
- Physical Transfer of stock within Milton Park sites
- Maintain Good Housekeeping in the warehouse and assist with 5S implementation within the department.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:
- Previous experience within a scientific (pharmaceutical/chemical/food science/biological) environment
- Experience in following regulatory procedures
- Attention to detail is critical to ensure cGMP compliance
- Must have experience with Warehouse ERP Systems
- Team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Experience guiding a small team
- Ability to assess, correct & prevent inefficiencies within a warehouse.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications / willingness to improve knowledge and apply to daily workload.
- Flexible, enthusiastic and reliable
- Proactive approach to work with the ability to problem solve issues.
- Positive attitude towards continuous improvement projects.
- Full UK Driving License.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:
- Counter balance and/or VNA Reach Truck License
- Experience and knowledge of COSHH regulations
