MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To operate and ensure the smooth running of the Weighbridge facility, to fulfil customer requirements in the supply of high-quality aggregates. Delivering key administration tasks for the Quarry Manager. Responsible for ensuring that all legal obligations required by the Weight & Measures Acts, the Highways Act and all other relevant Acts or bodies are adhered to.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MAIN TASKS OF JOB:
- Operating the weighbridge facility in accordance to H & S and all legal requirements.
- Weigh in/weigh out vehicles
- Ensuring materials on vehicles match Quarry minder system.
- Inspect incoming loads in accordance to company procedures
- Record Incoming loads and log any rejected loads
- Accurately directing incoming vehicles to correct Collection/Tip Sites.
- Collecting signed customer receipts from the haulier once the goods have been delivered.
- Accurate record keeping including scanning of relevant documents.
- Efficient and effective communication with Plant Operators to reduce possibility of errors.
- Maintaining and developing effective relationships with all customers
- Ensuring correct payments are taken from cash customers
- Reconciling cash sheet with cash tin
- Updating accurate stock records and reports.
- Completion of weekly weighbridge Inspection report.
- Ensuring weather reports are updated.
- Reporting any errors, system and machinery faults.
- Liaising/communicating with other departments for any queries.
- Ensuring all visitors and contractors are signed in and site inductions are processed and recorded.
- Ensuring Contractors have correct permits to work
- Ensuring that all Health & Safety measures are adhered to by any member of staff/person at the weighbridge facility, including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment and advising them accordingly.
- Collecting and recording any welcome intervention and reporting to relevant department.
- Develop and maintain own professional knowledge, skills and experience including “on the job” training, self-development activities and networking with fellow employees.
- Ensure weighbridge is locked and secure at end of shift
- Ensure full GDPR compliance at all times and reporting any breaches.
- Observe health and safety procedures and work safely at all times;
To comply with company health, safety and environmental policy, highlighting any issues appropriately.
To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices.
