What Are We Looking For?
Our Human Resources department in Inverness are looking for an HR Advisor to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. Your main duties will involve being responsible for the provision of a responsive and compliant HR advisory service, in line with Company specific policies and legislation.
This will be delivered both face to face and remotely for our offices across the UK. You will support Stakeholders with full case management and administrative guidance on HR issues.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
- Focus on current employment legislation and keep updated on new and impending changes.
- Provide practical advice and guidance to line managers on how to manage formal ER issues in line with Company policy, including how to conduct meetings, advice on meeting preparation and how meetings should be chaired and concluded.
- Assist in disciplinary and grievance meetings in an advisory and Company witness capacity.
- To support, coach and train managers in the application of HR Policy and Procedure.
- Support the development and improvement of the performance management process and ensure this is embedded within the organisation.
- Undertake HR administrative activities required to support HR case management, ensuring invite and outcome letters are accurate and to high standard.
- Monitor and apply the absence management process working with line managers and occupational health to secure successful outcomes.
- Responsible for driving the RSE onboarding system, ensuring that any new recruits are immediately engaged with the business.
- Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes.
- Analyse statistical information in relation to absence, new start and leaver numbers and trends, pay benchmarking etc.
- Supporting the Senior HR Management and on occasion undertaking HR projects that support the achievement of the operational HR strategic goals and the objectives of the organisation.
What Do You Need?
- Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in a Human Resources discipline.
- Proven HR generalist competence in an operational HR environment including attraction, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and employee development.
- Good understanding of ACAS principles and familiar with current Employment Law matters.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to enable effective dialogue with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Organised and self-motivated, with a proven record for meeting targets and deadlines.
- Proactive in the use of policy and procedure.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good computer skills primarily use of Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Full clean driving licence.
