Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week working daytime shifts between 8.30am – 5.30pm, 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays.
We are looking for a Catering Assistant who can work as part of a team in our Blaise cafes to provide visitors with a great experience.
Join us in our Parks Catering team you'll have the opportunity to make a difference to someone's day, every day and come to work in some of the City's most beautiful parks.
With eight cafes and kiosks across the City, we not only provide food and drink to the thousands of visitors to our parks every year but also generate income to help fund the cost of maintaining Bristol's parks and green spaces.
We are focussed on improving our experience for customers, as well as increasing income from our catering services. This won't be possible without having a great team of people, so come and join us.
We will need you to strive to deliver exceptional customer service, whilst working in the cafes serving our customers. You will work alone and also alongside the Team Leader and Retail Catering Manager who will be promoting a respectful team environment. All of our team members are trained to deliver high standards of service, quality and cleanliness in our cafes.
To be successful you will need:
- Be willing to work towards a Food Safety L2 certificate when you join us
- Excellent customer service skills
- A good understanding of Health & Safety at work (training given)
- Previous experience of working in a catering or retail environment
- Cafe experience and Good Barista skills
- Some Experience of operating an Electronic Point of Sale system (till)
Car parking is available at most of our sites. A meal is provided on duty.
You'll be working various daytime shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis, and may be expected to work at any of our cafes and kiosks. You will be based at Blaise estate café and Blaise nursery plant cafe for most of your time; however, you could be required to work at other locations across the city which includes Oldbury, Canford, St George, Blaise, Hengrove.
