Description
We are looking for a Junior Artworker with excellent attention to detail to join our busy studio in central Leeds. We need an enthusiastic and positive individual who will click with our existing team and be happy to muck in when necessary. The role will be integral to maintaining the quality and accuracy of output that our clients expect from us.
We are an established, award-winning design and marketing agency with a varied portfolio of exciting and challenging clients, many of them longstanding. We have specialisms in healthcare, beauty and life sciences, but also service brands across household, business services, engineering, finance and logistics.
We are always looking to develop our opportunities and serve our clients more effectively. We are a close, collaborative team of 10 and remain faithful to our original objective: to provide excellent, cost-effective, tailor made marketing solutions to help our clients effectively promote their products and services. To achieve this through a conscientious and effective service from experts.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Taking creative concepts from our designers and developing them into accurate, finished artwork
- Rolling out design concepts consistently across a wide range of campaign materials
- Producing mock-ups and presentation boards
- Liaising with the Account Handling team to obtain appropriate sign-off at key stages of each project
- Checking colours, typography and design consistencies to ensure finished artwork is always on brand
- Preparing error-free, print-ready files
- Liaising with our external print and media partners to ensure prompt and accurate file delivery

Skills Required:
- A good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, retouching skills, plus the practical ability to produce mock-ups and visuals where required.
- The ability to follow brand guidelines consistently and accurately, but also to think creatively when required. You can also spot a typo from a mile away, understand the production process and can deliver work with accuracyand attention to detail, even under extreme deadlines.
- A working knowledge of digital platforms, plus experience of setting up design layouts for Microsoft Office, is desirable but not essential.
Entry requirements
- 5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English and Maths)
Training to be provided
You will undertake the ground-breaking Apprentify Content Creator Level 3 apprenticeship.
We have designed our programme to offer you a distinct route into your chosen career path and specialise in researching, preparing, and developing content to maximise audience engagement. Content creators capture the strategy and objectives of the brand and needs of the customer, client or business.
During the 13 months of training, you will learn the most up to date theory and industry practices across 11 carefully structured Modules covering the duties that are required as a Content Creator:
- Plan and develop creative content in line with the brief and budget/costs.
- Interpret the strategy and objectives of the brand and align these to the content.
- Research, prepare and develop the media messaging to maximise audience engagement.
- Develop and create written content that can be used across a variety of media.
- Create visual and audio content that can be used across a variety of media.
- Store content securely and methodically to enable efficient access and retrieval
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to plan and align content delivery with business objectives.
- Manage content online using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the content produced against the original plan and recommend improvements.
- Undertake continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with trends and technology.
