About our company....

A Plus Clean is a rapidly growing professional exterior building cleaning company which has been established 15 years based in Netley (Southampton). We are a family friendly business with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity and customer care where each team member is a important part of keeping the wheels turning and not just a number!

We carry out external cleaning of commercial and domestic buildings from roofs, guttering, walls, cladding, rendering, windows, driveways, walkways, stonework and much more using various specialist systems, environmentally friendly chemicals, specialist cleaning processes and equipment. Our business has recently pivoted and we are doing a lot more repair/ response work to gutters, fascia, soffits and roofs, windows, doors plastering and a lot more.

Due to further growth, we are looking for a person to join our great team in a Sales Estimator / Surveyor role with the opportunity of a progression path for an applicant with a great attitude.

The applicant will come on board to learn to survey and prepare quotes on commercial and domestic buildings previous experience would be an advantage but a fantastic attitude, the willingness to learn and being adaptable are just as important.

The successful person will also help us map out and refine our customer journey and sales process enabling them to really make this role there own.

Job Description -

Your main role will be to survey and quote the various commercial and domestic projects. You will also work with the office team to take and reply and maximise inbound enquiries.

You will also be encouraged to increase both commercial and domestic revenues inbound to the business by growing the volume of work through commercial opportunities you come across and people you meet, private residences, domestic customers, estate agencies, property management companies, small commercial businesses, working in conjunction with the Marketing Team, web-site enquiries, cold calling when you see opportunities and more.

Adhere to and perform to the vision and mission statement of the business and to demonstrate the company values at all times.

Actively work on inbound requests for external cleaning projects from site survey to quote completion and follow up. All thou this will be your main emphasis other actions will involve some leafleting/ letter / sales pack dropping, cold-call door knocking, networking, social media posts and other self- disciplined tasks to help us grow the company.

To convert quotations to actual sales orders in line with the performance plan set by the company.

To take ownership of the customer from 1st point of contact through to the completion of the cleaning works whilst driving business within the neighbouring properties.

To be resiliently punctual with every physical sales call to create the most professional image possible for yourself and the company. Including calling or sending a text message to a customer on each occasion when you have an appointment booked.

To follow up on every single sales opportunity rigorously and without exception.

Liaising with the A Plus Cleaning management and technician teams including briefing them on the customer, property and cleaning requirements including customer satisfaction and sign off at end of cleaning works.

Adhering to the highest levels of health and safety at all times.

Impeccable relationship building with customers to achieve a level of trusted advisor.

Delivery of financial sales targets and associated activities on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis according to the performance criteria set by the company within the individual plan and business objectives. Including attending a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly performance meetings.

Updating of Information Technology management systems (Big Change, CRM) with complete and accurate information relating to the customer and their full requirements.

To have a full UK driving licence with minimal points and drive a company supplied vehicle from the HQ on a daily basis.

Our hours of work are generally Monday to Friday but you may be asked or there is the need to work other unsocial hours, early mornings, evenings, week-ends when required by the company or through your own self choosing to complete specific tasks.

To maintain an electronic diary within the company job allocations system of Big Change and keep this up to date on a minimum daily basis

You will be expected to work with the technician teams for a week or so to gain a clear understanding of their service that they provide, the challenges that they face and how you will have the opportunity to upsell further services.

To be personable, professional, respectful and presentable at all times with customers, employees, management and outside agencies demonstrating a “can Do” attitude at all times.

To be an ambassador for A Plus Clean representation through being smart and clean in appearance with your uniform provided.

To ensure that the company vehicle provided is kept clean (Inside and Out) on a minimum of a weekly basis. Additionally check the company car tyres, oil, water and fluid levels and address any issues immediately.

To drive any company vehicle expertly and courteously at all times showing consideration for other drivers at all times.

Attend weekly, monthly and quarterly sales meetings and present your activities, sales wins, pipelines, areas covered and proactive measure in place to grow the revenues in line with your pay-plan.

Work with the sales department and other key departments and personnel as and when required.

Attend company social events, roadshows, exhibitions or similar as and when required.

Skills and experience:
