HR/People Administrator
Birmingham, West Midlands
We are Centrick. Founded in 2005, we are a group of businesses dedicated to all things residential property, with a national presence. Not only do we provide building & estate management services for developments of all sizes, but we also cover all aspects of sales & lettings across the UK, servicing overseas clients too. And what’s more, we even have a separate team focused exclusively on providing soft services such as cleaning, caretaking, and maintenance to residential and commercial sites.
Our HQ is based in Birmingham city centre which houses many of our front-line teams as well as our support functions including marketing, finance, and people. Every day we set out to achieve our vision: to make customers’ lives better, the Centrick way.
Centrick is expanding! Our People team is currently seeking an HR Administrator to join our team and embark on a fulfilling HR career.
So, who are we looking for?
You are naturally very organised and diligent with a keen eye for detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise and adapt positively to change. Passionate about your career, you’ll be eager to develop in the HR/People profession and we’ll support you to achieve your CIPD qualifications.
Possessing excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, you understand the importance of people within a service-led business and work well within a team to provide a transformational HR/People service.
In an ideal world, you might currently work within a payroll admin role or you may be a self-confessed tech nerd - we have a lot of systems and platforms that need your help. Above all else, our newest team member will be just as passionate about people/HR as we are!
And what will you be doing?
No two days are the same but the below gives you a flavour of some of the tasks you’d typically be involved with. If you don’t think you have experience in everything from the below list, but you believe you were born to work in the profession, we’d still be keen for you to apply so we can get in touch with you:
- Maintain employee files, ensuring right-to-work compliance, following workflows and updating corresponding systems
- Monitoring return to work/absence compliance, working with managers to ensure compliance across the Group
- Eventually become our HR system expert, supporting the People team with administration, ad hoc reporting, setting up new starters, leavers and general maintenance
- Assisting the People Director and People Advisor with administering payroll, inputting changes to pay, answering payroll queries and updating systems in the post-payroll process
- Drafting employee letters such as confirming pay increases, promotions and references
- Organise the People Team inbox, allocating queries to the relevant member of the team
What’s in it for you?
We’ve fostered a values-driven, inclusive environment for our people so that they enjoy coming to work every day. We’re proud of our reward & benefits package which we’re always improving as we grow; during your employment, you’ll enjoy:
- £20,000 - £23,000 basic salary DOE
- Study support to complete CIPD qualifications
- 25 days holiday (rising with service to 28 days), plus 8 bank holidays
- Flexible & hybrid working opportunities

- Enhanced Family Leave
- Perkbox employee benefits platform
