WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Analyse business and system requirements for client-facing eCommerce,
Omnichannel Retail or Wholesale projects (B2C/B2B)
- Elicit and elaborate requirements via client interviews, meetings, workshops, etc.
- Evaluate & propose business process design and documentation, based on software platform capabilities
- Create business models, workflows and other diagrams to aid the understanding of a client’s requirements
- Document requirements, usually as Epics and User Stories in JIRA
- Analyse, document and validate the client’s acceptance criteria for each
requirement, utilising a Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) approach
- Playback elaborated requirements and User Stories to the client for sign-off
- Produce concise and accurate functional documentation to support the client's
learning
- Create and execute test scripts for functional features and system integrations
- Support the triage, recreation and root cause analysis for defects found during
testing
- Provide initial system training to the client team, and occasionally end users
- Estimate business analysis activities and assisting the project manager with the
scheduling and sequencing of business analysis deliverables
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client regarding the business analysis
processes and their functional and non-functional needs for the software solution
- Challenge requirements to ensure they are ‘needs’ not ‘wants’
- Mentor and matrix manage more junior Business Analysts on client-facing projects
- Quality assure the work of more junior Business Analysts on client-facing projects
- Support the pre-sales team with RFP responses, mapping requirements to out of the box functionality and functional demonstrations to prospective clients
WHAT YOU NEED
- Significant experience as a Business Analyst, working on eCommerce, Omnichannel Retail, Wholesale or CX projects (B2C/B2B)
- Exposure to all aspects of eCommerce, including products, pricing, content, search, promotions, order creation, order management, customer service, etc.
- Excellent understanding of digital/eCommerce technologies and CX/UX principles
- Proven experience working in an Agile methodology environment (e.g. SCRUM,
DSDM, Lean/Kanban)
- Practical knowledge and experience of the Atlassian software suite (JIRA &
Confluence)
- Confident and experienced facilitating client-facing workshop of up to 15 people,
including senior managers
- Broad experience using modelling techniques designed for business and systems’ analysis e.g. use case diagrams, process/flow diagrams, UML (class, sequence diagrams)
- Experience of the whole solution development lifecycle – discovery to service
transition
- Experience working with the SAP C/4 Suite e.g. Commerce Cloud / Hybris,
Marketing Cloud, Customer Data Cloud (highly desirable)
- Experience facilitating or supporting discovery workshops with new clients (highly desirable)
