Job Description

The ED is the busiest in the East of England, seeing in excess of 110,000 new patients each year. We are in the process of developing new effective ways of working, and your role will be to support and work within the team to achieve high quality and compassionate care for our patients.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a role in the realisation of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals’ vision of: ‘to provide every patient with care we want for those we love the most’.

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and highly skilled Team as we look forward to the future development of the ED.

Description of post:
You will prepare the Resuscitation area of the Emergency Department for operational duty to an agreed quality standard for the benefits of our patients and staff.

This will include cleaning, decontaminating, stocking, safety/functional checks of equipment. To maintain the serviceability of equipment and consumables within the Resuscitation area of the Emergency Department.

To act autonomously to ensure the continuation of Make Ready Services within the area of responsibility to maximise the availability of our department to deliver patient care.

Requirements:
Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Experience of ensuring a clean and tidy working environment

Should be familiar with working as part of a team

Has an understanding/ willingness to learn about the ordering of stock and the maintenance of equipment at unit level

Must have good interpersonal skills
