Logistics Support Squadron (LSS) delivers logistic enablement in support of Typhoon aircraft for QRA(N), Poseidon aircraft for Maritime Patrol and supports UK and Global operations.

Within LSS, Base Supply Flight (BSF) is recruiting a Domestic Supply Section (DSS) Manager which delivers Barrack and Clothing items to RAF Lossiemouth. The output of the section includes Operational Kitting, MyRAF Clothing App orders, Barrack provisions for all Single Living Accommodation and other Station Buildings.

This post is advertised as Full Time at 37 hours per week.

The post holder will be responsible for:

• Line management of the Station Barrack Warden AO, Station Clothing Co-ordinator AO and 9x Storekeepers SZ2.
• Internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Ensuring that all DSS requests are processed, handled, and stored in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Being fully conversant and complying with Health and Safety, Fire and Security regulations.
• Maintaining the security of the building and ensuring that visitors are escorted.
• Overseeing all requests/transactions on the Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) system ensuring all records are accurate.
• Scrutinising all auditable documents within DSS and maintenance of all corresponding registers and databases.
• Ensuring Material Accounting compliance for all items and storage areas within DSS through completing all Key Performance Checks.
• The completion of Monthly Management Checks.
• Providing scrutiny and financial approval for Government Procurement Card (GPC) purchase requests within DSS, ensuring policy compliance.
• The coordination of Trade Ability Tests (TATS) for AS2 military ranks within DSS.
• Assisting or managing other tasks as detailed by OC LSS or OC BSF commensurate with an Executive Officer grade.

The successful candidate must be able to interpret policy to make sound decisions, whilst working in a busy operational environment as tasks can be time sensitive but also require careful consideration to ensure appropriate scrutiny is applied to all decisions.

You will require strong IT Skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 as well as the ability to work well in a team and independently.

The ability to communicate effectively is essential as you will be engaging with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
