The Role:
An opportunity to join a world class Automotive Textile Company to support and help develop existing and future business and processes. This a management role with relevant KPI’s and you will be asked to represent Milliken at an accountable level. In return, the role will provide the right person the opportunity to develop and grow both personally and within the business environment. You’ll already be working in a similar role preferably within a textile related industry and feel the need to want to increase your responsibilities working alongside the business and production teams in a customer facing position.
Reporting to the Director, duties will include:
Responsible for quality performance both internally and externally.
Working closely with existing and potential customers to provide solutions and technical support from concept to production.
Working closely with the business team to understand the cost and value proposition of products.
Oversee and support multiple development projects / cost saving projects carried out by the Technical team, whilst understanding and meeting required deadlines.
Provide regular progress updates to the business and assist in prioritising and decision making.
Active business and process ownership providing technical input.
Liaise with the Production Team to develop robust production process routes.
Leading continuous improvement activities as part of the ongoing CI process.
Develop and mentor members of the Technical team.
Some domestic and international travel is a requirement of this role.
Support around standard certification such as IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001
Skills Required:
You’ll already be working within a textile related industry and ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Degree educated or with proven relevant experience.
Technical understanding of textiles from yarn preparation to fabric finishing.
Strong IT skills including MS Office.
Good commercial acumen.
Good understanding of quality and environmental management, business ethics and safe systems of work.
Strong communication skills.
Integrated team player with a strong sense of ownership and commitment.
Confident in developing customer relationships and business development opportunities.
Analytical with good problem-solving skills and an understanding of statistical process control.
Driving licence.
