Key responsibilities are:

  • Complete equipment asset inspection reports using a CMMS (computer maintenance management system) system.
  • Identify defects and report accordingly via the equipment asset inspection reports.
  • Identify, assess, and repair small defects as required.
  • Carry out basic earth testing of substation earthing systems in accordance with approved procedures.

You'll need to have a full driving licence, but can be based from either Hull or Immingham as the role covers all of our Ports in the Humber. Experience of using Mainsaver would be ideal, but would need knowledge of a CMMS system.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Basic Understanding of Electrical Distribution networks (HV and LV) and equipment
  • Trained to a minimum of an IOSH accredited course with respect to safety
  • Computer skills (Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Driving licence
  • Ability to prioritise workload with efficiency and effectiveness, coordinating to a range of activities
  • A sound knowledge of port operation and infrastructure (ideal)
  • Previous experience working in substations or on High Voltage equipment (ideal)
  • Access to substation qualification (ideal)
  • Basic understanding of electrical distribution Protection systems (ideal)
