The successful candidate will perform a range of duties relating to the enforcement and prosecution of offences in relation to road traffic casualty reduction policies, in relation to the review, preparation of prosecutions cases and giving evidence at court.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
1. Responsibility for the review of SCU prosecution cases including file preparation and submission.
2. Attending Magistrates’ and Crown Courts to give evidence or advise in contested cases
3. Extract evidence and intelligence from film sequences.
4. Interrogate databases to obtain/check information – DVLA, PNC, VP/FPO (Pentip)
5. To highlight cases and instigate enquiries/investigations where suspected criminal offences exist following review of evidence (eg unlawful use of vehicle, falsehood)
6. To answer queries and communications received by telephone, fax, correspondence and other sources from members of the public, Crown Prosecution Service, Police Officers, Criminal Justice Units and other interested parties.
7. To be aware of legislation relating to the enforcement of offences.

9. To give regular and effective service
